Vastex C-1000 Semi-Automatic Coater

The Vastex International C-1000 Semi-Automatic Screen Coater has a foot-pedal control that lowers the screen at a constant rate, allowing a scoop coater to be held still using two hands, producing stencils of greater uniformity than possible using manual methods, according to Mark Vasilantone, president.

A spring loaded screen holder securely holds wood, aluminum and retensionable frames from 23 to 36 inches (60 to 90 cm) tall, with no reasonable width limitation. Maximum screen weight is 11 lbs (5 kg).

The steady rate at which the screen travels during the downward coating stroke can be adjusted according to emulsion viscosity, screen mesh, emulsion thickness and desired output; the unit can coat up to 50 screens per hour, each with three coats of emulsion.

“Allowing the operator to hold still at a comfortable position while the screen descends at a constant rate produces uniform stencils that can prevent blotchy screen exposures and inconsistent ink deposition associated with uneven stencil thickness,” explains Vasilantone.

“Screen making is one of the most important elements of a quality print job,” he says, “and the new C-1000 is perhaps the least costly way that high capacity industrial screen printers and entry level shops alike can boost quality, cut rejects and save time.”

The compact design mounts to the wall to free-up floor space, and is available in 110- or 240-volt models.

Vastex VRS

The Vastex Registration System (VRS) is an ultra-fast and -accurate pin registration system that enables anyone to locate positives onto the screens off-press — then locate the screens onto any rear clamp screen printing press with all colors in register — in 4 easy steps:

  1. Attach your positives to setup sheets in register, using the alignment grid/pinboard
  2. Locate and attach your positives in register to your screens using a Vastex pin board with screen stops
  3. Burn all your screens on any exposure unit in register
  4. Locate and clamp each screen onto your press in register using the Vastex pallet jig and its corresponding screen stops — ready to print in less than 3 minutes per screen!

Dip Tanks

RhinoClean Dip Tanks

The RhinoClean Dip/Soak Tanks Systems are designed for fast, safe and efficient removal of screen printing stencils. The RhinoClean System, used in conjunction with RhinoClean ER 8500L emulsion Remover or AP1000 (all in one) Ink Degradent Emulsion Remover, will effectively remove all types of emulsion from the screen frame. It’s easy; once the emulsion is soft simply remove with high pressure washer.

Using a RhinoClean Dip Tank/Emulsion Removal System helps reduce chemical waste. It also allows the operator to clean another screen while the next one is soaking. Thus, it saves time and money. The system helps meet compliance by minimizing the volume of chemicals going down the drain therefore you will lessen the carbon foot print on our environment. Our dip tanks users reduce chemical consumption by up to 70%, decreasing labor needs by up to 50%. The average savings is $.50 per screen!

Features of the RhinoClean Dip/Soak Tanks:

  • Polyethylene Construction
  • One piece molded construction
  • Ideal for use with 2 in 1 ink and emulsion removers
  • Drain Spigot
  • Multi Screen Units
  • Top Loading Design
  • Hold Down Lid
  • Tank support band on specific models

Models:

  • AP2024 / 26” x 8” x 26” (20 gal. Capacity) Holds 4 Screens 1.5″ Profile
  • AP2331 / 33” x 14” x 24” (55 gal. Capacity) Holds 8 Screens 1.5″ Profile
  • AP2536 / 40” x 16” x 38” (100 gal. Capacity) Holds 9 Screens 1.5″ Profile

Benefits of the RHINOCLEAN System: free up employee time to spend on other tasks instead of screen cleaning; extends the life of the ink degradant/emulsion remover and reduces employee exposure to chemicals.

Saati Laser-to-Screen System

Laser-Jet Vertical

Self-contained, super high efficiency direct laser computer to screen image & exposure unit, operated by PC with optional RIP. Designed to efficiently image and expose one screen up to 39”x59” or two screens up to a maximum size 23”x31” without vacuum or film positives.

The Laser-Jet Vertical is a Direct Laser CTS (computer-to-screen) (LTS) image and exposure unit. It takes into account the contemporary needs of stencil makers with an eye toward future challenges that will demand more efficient and precise results. Made to surpass all others while simultaneously provide enhancements to time and money spent producing stencils, as well as your ecological footprint. The Laser-Jet Vertical has a glass free vertical loading and frame lock system to ensure accuracy and easy screen placement for reduced pinholes. It has a solid metal construction which provides a vibration free stencil making platform while maintaining a smaller footprint than other CTS machines.
