Matsui International is a PVC free water-based ink producer, and advocate of environmentally friendly practices, offering a variety of water-based inks and specialty products for a broad range of products. We have an array of inks that are all water based and with no ‘co-solvents,’ the majority of which have been OekoTex 100 Grade 1 certified, the highest grade, approved for skin contact garments like swimwear, underwear, and infant clothing. Our advance in water-based inks are making screen printing quicker, easier, and longer lasting; debunking outdated reputations that water based inks aren’t opaque, or lack in color fastness.

Matsui’s new 301 ECO-Series Water Based Ink System base binders, pigments and inks are specifically designed for today’s high speed automatic screen printing presses. The eco-friendly 301 ECO-Series inks offer advantages over the traditional plastisol inks and are superior to plastisol ink systems currently being used in high volume textile shops.

The 301 Eco Series Inks manufactured by Matsui Shikiso Chemical Co., Ltd., Japan contains no harmful chemicals or toxic substances as known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm, at levels which would require a warning under the California Proposition 65 (Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986) law.

Excalibur 550 Series High Opacity Ink

550 SERIES – HIGH OPACITY INK

550PF Series – High-Opacity Inks
Excalibur’s 550PF and 533PF Series offer printers the ulitmate in opacity and printability for direct printing 100% cotton dark fabrics. For best results if printing a color by itself either a double stroke or a print/flash/print technique should be utilized. 533PF is manufactured with the same base and pigments as the 550PF Series. Available in a complete colour range of 28 standard and 8 neon colours.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

High-opacity formulas easily cover 100% cotton dark fabrics.
Creamy, easy-printing consistency produces sharp, opaque prints on both manual and automatic presses.
Completely phthalate-free and lead-free formulation complies with all standards of Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) banning phthalates and heavy metals in textile-printing inks.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Gel Temperature: Ink will surface gel at 240° F (116° C).

Curing: Prints will fully cure when the entire ink film reaches 320°F (160°C) for at least 15 seconds.

Heat Transfers: 533PF AND 550PF can be used in printing cold peel transfers.

Mesh: For direct printing a 60-305/inch (24T-122Tcm) may be used.

Stencil: Any stencil compatible with plastisol inks may be used.

Modification: Because plastisol inks are thixotropic and can body up during storage always stir ink thoroughly prior to print or adding reducers. If necessary 501PF Curable Reducer may be added increase printability of ink and to help clean from the screen. CAUTION: Adding too much 501PF Curable Reducer will reduce opacity and bleed-resistance.

Squeegee: 70 durometer or 90/70/90 triple durometer blades are recommended.

Printing Techniques: A print/flash/print technique may be necessary to produced desired results on dark garments.

Clean-up: Use Enviro Series 2000 Green or Enviro Series TR Blend.

Always test finished prints for curing, adhesion and desired look prior to beginning full production runs. Lancer Group International cannot guarantee the results or back claims that this mixed ink will test phthalate-free if any additive other than an additive manufactured by Lancer Group International is used to modify this ink. Test results by a third-party laboratory verifying all components used to produce this ink are phthalate-free and lead-free are available upon request.
