Vastex AutoFlash

Vastex AutoFlash

Ever burned a shirt or a pallet with your manual spot-curing equipment? With the new Auto Flash, models AF-120 and AF-240, an automated flash cure unit from Vastex Screen Printing Equipment, you will never have to worry again about accidentally leaving the flash over the pallet. The Auto Flash will speed production by moving the flash head in and out of position at the touch of a foot pedal and prevent accidents that sometimes happen when the operator gets distracted.

This new unit has a heavy-duty gear motor that drives an eccentric arm to provide a smooth robotic motion. Standard controls are a foot pedal to start the cycle, a 0 to 30 second timer to set your process time over the pallet, and a power switch with

indicator light. An optional whisker switch will be available to automatically move the flash into position each time the pallet indexes. It can be used with any manual or automatic press for consistent, productive flashing of designs.

The Auto Flash also has a range of features that increase its versatility and adaptability to any press. It is height adjustable, and it has a head-leveling bolt to adjust the heater parallel to the press pallet. The low profile 2 7/8-inch head height allows it to easily fit between the screen and the platen. The head rotates 110 degrees smoothly and consistently to provide trouble-free spot curing and prevent overheating on your pallet. Two models are available: an 18 by

18 inch and an 18 by 24 inch. It also comes in 120 or 240 volts.

If you own a Vastex RedFlash or E-Flash that was purchased in the past five years, you can retrofit your existing flash with Auto Flash capabilities. As with all Vastex dryers, it is backed with a 10-year heater warranty, the most extensive in the industry.

Founded in 1960, Vastex International is a leading manufacturer of screen-printing machinery. Vastex stands behind its products with unprecedented warranties, which includes 25 years on V200HD presses. Call (610) 625-2702 for more information.

Vastex Air Flash

ADJUSTABLE FORCED AIR SYSTEM PROTECTS DELICATE TEXTILES DURING INFRARED FLASH-CURING OF PLASTISOL INKS, SPEEDS THE EVAPORATIVE DRYING OF WATER BASED INKS, AND COOLS THE ENCLOSURE FOR OPERATOR SAFETY

The Air-Flash™ Cure Station from Vastex combines infrared heating with forced air to heat the ink while cooling the garment.

This prevents the high heat needed to melt plastisol inks from melting, shrinking or burning nylon, polyester, Dazzle cloth, Spandex and other heat-sensitive fabrics.

With water-based inks that require moisture removal for drying, the flow of forced air across the infrared-heated ink accelerates evaporation, significantly reducing the time and energy needed to flash-dry each garment.

Vastex F-1000

Vastex International has introduced a new low cost, F-1000 Flash Cure Unit with a 1950-watt, 18 x 18 in. (457 x 457 mm) heater that carries a 15-year warranty.
The “high-density medium-wavelength” infrared heater used in the F-1000 has closely spaced coils which eliminate cold spots and under-curing associated with conventional infrared heaters, according to the company.

Fixed heat shields on four sides of the enclosure allow positioning closer to the garment, improving edge-to-edge temperature uniformity for increased output and image quality.

The F-1000 unit is offered in a 120 V model that replaces Vastex model R-18-120, and a 240 V model.

The F-1000 unit is also equipped as standard with: a temperature control; NEMA 6-15P (120V) or in a (240V) version with either NEMA 6-15-P or international plugs; extra-large side handles; head leveler to adjust the heater parallel to the pallet; and a sturdy, four-leg stand with casters and vertical adjustment collar allowing 360° rotation.
An optional Rotary Table with two vented steel pallets allows the F-1000 unit to double as a low cost dryer.

Also optional is an Auto-Flash AF-120 or AF-240 upgrade that rotates the head into place above the pallet with the touch of a foot pedal, and automatically rotates the head away from the pallet after a user-adjustable dwell time has elapsed, to prevent over-flashing and under-flashing of garments.

Vastex F-100

Vastex F-100

Vastex International has introduced a new, low cost F-100 Flash Cure Unit with a 16 x 16 in. (41 x 41 cm) heater that offers higher wattage per square inch than the F1-18 model it replaces.

The F-100 unit is offered in 120 and 240 volt models, both with a 1625-watt heater that carries a 15-year warranty.

Fixed heat shields on four sides of the enclosure allow positioning closer to the garment, improving edge-to-edge temperature uniformity for increased output and image quality.

The F-100 unit is also equipped as standard with: an on/off switch; 5-15P (120V) or NEMA

6-15-P (240V) plug and international plugs; extra-large side handles; head leveler to adjust the heater parallel to the pallet; and a sturdy, four-leg stand with vertical adjustment collar allowing 360° rotation.

An optional Rotary Table with two vented steel pallets allows the F-100 unit to double as a low cost dryer.

Accu-Cure UV

Ultraviolet Curing Unit

The Accu-Cure Ultraviolet Curing Unit is the culmination of over 40 years experience in UV technology. No other curing system offers this remarkable combination of performance control and safety features. Engineered for high speed curing of vinyl, polyesters, paper and other heat sensitive substrates, the computer designed cooling system minimizes heat transmission to stock in the curing chamber. A.W.T.’s Ozone Removal System vents ozone and hot air from the point of origin then safely out of the working area. Specially engineered light guards protect the operator form exposure to actinic light output. Adjustable gate height on the curing head module may be set according to stock thickness, and eliminates light leakage. Variable position wattage selection allows the operator to adjust lamp output to conditions, prolong lamp life and conservers energy.

AWT Super Turbo G

The Super Turbo G™ is A.W.T.’s gas dryer designed for efficient textile industrial production. All plastisol and water based textile inks are cure-dried in the Super Turbo G at speeds up to 110 dozen pieces per hour – or more.

The design of this dryer includes a preheat chamber where the correct curing temperature of inks is quickly obtained. The preheat system can be gas fired (GHO models) for energy efficient production. The Super Turbo GHO has a quartz tube preheat zone. Heights of the preheat system inside the chamber are adjustable.

The second section uses jet air-knives and high volume hot air to fully cure the textile ink while removing evaporates through the exhaust system. Re-circulating hoods re-circulate up to 90% of the dry airflow through the system. This helps to reduce your energy consumption. Dye fumes from colored shirts are safely exhausted. The Super Turbo G and GHO dryers keep textile production running smoothly and efficiently. Ink is fully cured with excellent results.

Double insulated chambers allow air temperature to remain constant. This feature makes the dryer energy efficient with little heat loss.

Temperatures for the quartz tubes/preheat zone can be set independently of the jet air. If air flow becomes restricted the heating system shuts down automatically and a safety alarm sounds. This safety feature keeps the blowers operating, preventing problems from scorching and blower burnout. Unit has full filter system.

The fully modular construction makes expansion easy by simply adding heating or conveyor sections.

  • Two sections of heat: quartz tubes (preheat) and hot jet air knives; fast, cost effective and reliable
